Is the Friday concert part of Whitby Ribfest?
Yes! Friday, July 10th launches Ribfest weekend with a special ticketed concert event featuring The Trews. It’s called “A Concert for Our Community” and takes place in a designated concert area within the Ribfest grounds.
Do I need a ticket to enjoy ribs on Friday?
No. While the concert area requires a ticket, there will also be a Public Rib Zone open to everyone with 5 ribbers available — no ticket needed. The rib zone is separate from the concert area and has its own entrance.
What about Saturday and Sunday?
Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12th are free and open to all, featuring the full Ribfest experience — all ribbers, vendors, live music, and family fun all weekend long.
Will there be seating?
Is this a 19+ event?
What about washrooms?
Is this an accessible event?
Yes! Of course, we are at the mercy of the grass field, but no requirement for stairs, and some of our washroom facilities are classified accessible.
