Change Starts at the Front Gate

Every year, thousands of guests walk through the gates of Ribfest and are greeted by the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise volunteers collecting optional donations as part of our Change for Our Community initiative.

There is no admission fee to attend Whitby Ribfest PLUS. The Friday public zone and all areas on Saturday and Sunday remain completely free for everyone to enjoy. But for those who wish to contribute, every donation collected at the gate helps support local community programs, charitable initiatives, youth opportunities, and projects that create meaningful impact across our region.

Yes, it’s the loose change in your pocket (as well as tap-to-give for those that do not have change). But it’s also the power we have to create change together.

Small acts of generosity multiplied across an entire community become something truly significant. That’s what Rotary is built on. And that’s why events like Whitby Ribfest PLUS matter.

So when you arrive at the gates this summer, know that every contribution, big or small, helps create lasting impact right here at home.
